At Surebonder, we love backing hands-on creativity that brings people together. We recently supported Spilled Milk Social Club in Austin, where kids and families turned cardboard, imagination, and hot glue into playable arcade games. Community events like this show how simple materials plus the right tools can spark big ideas.
Building Community Through Making
Milky’s Way Arcade opened on November 8 at the Cherrywood campus in partnership with the Austin Studio Tour and Almost Real Things. The one-day event was free to the public and filled with kid-designed games, food, and plenty of out-of-this-world fun. We supplied hot glue guns and glue sticks so builders could prototype, test, and play.
Powered by Creativity and Connection
Surebonder hot glue guns and glue sticks helped make every idea stick, literally. From cardboard claw machines to colorful pinball boards, kids used hot glue to turn everyday materials into something entirely their own. It was amazing to see how quickly imagination took shape once the tools were in their hands, and how working side by side built both projects and confidence throughout the day.
About Spilled Milk Social Club
Spilled Milk Social Club was founded in 2012 by educators Ali Epperson and Stella Maxwell Putman, who share more than 25 years of experience in childcare and creative learning in Austin, Texas. Their programs are built around the belief that kids grow best through both guided projects and free play, where creativity, collaboration, and confidence naturally take shape.
In 2024, Spilled Milk became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing them to expand their mission and make their playful, hands-on learning experiences accessible to even more kids and families throughout the Austin community.
