Now it's time for a little Q&A, let's go!
1. How long have you been creating and how did you get started?
I'm the founder and creative director of the lifestyle blog and brand Brite & Bubbly. For the past 15 years I have been creating fun and easy to make DIY projects, party ideas, and fresh ideas for celebrating all the brite and bubbly moments from everyday life! I got started as a kid, making DIY Doll houses and crafts with my mom and grew up making halloween costumes and DIY projects for the home and holidays. I am a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and my work and projects have been featured in Buzzfeed, Apartment Therapy, Country Living Magazine, The LA Times, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores, and more.
2. What is/are your favorite Surebonder product(s):
The Cordless/Corded High Temperature Mini Hot Glue Gun With Detail Tip I use daily and the color, glitter, and metallic hot glue sticks. I have made everything from earrings to holiday decorations with these glue sticks. You can do so much with them!

3. What inspires you to create? What do you love most and what is the hardest part about the creative process?:
I can find inspiration from my family or in a place I'm visiting or even just a movie or show I just watched. But what I love most is helping others find their love of DIY and crafting. Knowing that I can help someone find some joy in their life with a DIY project or something I share is what I love the most. Having people make my costumes and DIY's is such a humbling and touching experience. It means so much to me. The hardest part of the creative process is making sure you aren't sharing something that has been done a million times over.
I came up with and have worked with so many amazing makers and DIY Bloggers. It's so hard to choose. I always have gravitated to the folks who are exactly who they are online and in person and one person who I love is the Crafty Chica. I've known her and followed her for some time and I always have to give my fellow Latina Crafters and Makers a shout out. We're a small but mighty group!
5. How do you manage and overcome creative burnout?:
I try to take a break and go experience something new that I've never done before. I try to find new inspiration and enjoyment in something new to spark creativity.
6. Have you experienced a fail? How did you work through it and what did you learn?:
I've had many projects, plans, and DIY's that have failed over the years. You just learn to pick yourself and try again and if it doesn't work out, it wasn't meant to be. I've learned the art of pivoting and there is always a different way to accomplish what you want to accomplish.
7. What advice would you give to someone who wants to get started?:
Take the leap and don't be afraid to try. Do what makes you happy. Just be yourself and know you will make mistakes and that's ok. Give yourself the grace to make mistakes and keep going. It's about the journey. It's a jog not a sprint. As long as you're having fun don't sweat the little things!
8. What’s next for you? (a new project? a new technique? a new venture?):
I'm redesigning my website and branding and working on some new projects that involve printable DIYs. I'm also working on building my YouTube channel and a live weekly segment that will be called "Let's Get Crafty Witch", that I will be going live on Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube with each week for Halloween. I have a few other projects I'm working on getting going and I'm excited to share them in the near future and have a lot of hope for the future.
