Inspired by whimsy and the joy of everyday occasions, her creations go beyond decorations—they become keepsakes filled with meaning, personality, and care.

Now it's time for a little Q&A

We've asked Daniela to share her story and some insights she's gained along her crafting journey. Let's get into it!

1. How long have you been creating and how did you get started?

My name is Daniela, and I run Dulce Miel Crafts, which started in 2021. I hand-make party decorations, supplies, and favors. My specialty is my cake toppers! Every project I design is created to be unique and embody my clients' events with care and detail. I love creating new themes, ideas, and crafts! Crafting brings me a smile, knowing I can capture that special age and their favorite things on media that can be saved to look back on. In addition to my current product lines, we are currently expanding to branded stationery, which has been a fun new journey!

2. What is/are your favorite Surebonder product(s):

My ultimate favorites are the mini cordless precision glue gun and the mini clear glue sticks.

Tools Behind the Magic!

From her mini cordless precision glue gun to mini clear glue sticks, Daniela relies on precision tools to bring her ideas to life—now with the glue pen in the mix, she might have a new favorite on her hands.

3. What inspires you to create? What do you love most and what is the hardest part about the creative process?:

My inspiration to create comes from wanting to bring whimsy and fun into everyday life. For example, if we're having a movie night, I'm making a themed popcorn tray because why not!? The thing I love the most about the creative process is the final steps when all the pieces slowly start to get pieced together, and the project transforms from simply materials to an amazing final product. The hardest part for me is staying out of my head and not overthinking a design/project.

4. Who’s another maker you admire and what do you love about their work?:

I look up to Mister Larrie! What I love most about his work is how colorful and joyful every craft is! It could be making pompoms or sewing. No matter what he's making, his projects are full of whimsy and embody what crafts are supposed to feel like.

5. How do you manage and overcome creative burnout?:

Stepping away from the desk has been key in not burning out the creative part of myself. Connecting with nature and finding inspiration in the real world, like beautiful colors that go together or different elements to bring to a project, has all helped keep the creative juices flowing.

6. Have you experienced a fail? How did you work through it and what did you learn?:

I've had project fails, and business fails, and everything in between. Reminding myself that there is ALWAYS a solution, a way around, a different way to look at what went wrong has been what's gotten me through the rough patches. With every mistake and failure, I learn what not to do, and I learn to move with intent and slow down to enjoy the process.

7. What advice would you give to someone who wants to get started?:

Learn a new skill every day! It can be a different technique from what you're making, a new craft, a new tool. The desire to learn something new in your craft will always keep you in love with creating.

8. What’s next for you? (a new project? a new technique? a new venture?):

I'm going to start scrapbooking! Now that my son has taken an interest in photography, my next maker journey is deep diving into photo albums and scrapbooking to hopefully create something for him when he's older to look back on.
